Clean mass air flow?
#1
I have a hotwire mass air flow I have had dirty mud water down intake witch has coated the hot wire block and it is causing a hesitation. This sensor is only 1 year old if that I bought a new genuine one just wondering if i have to spend another $350 on a new one or I can clean it some way.
I have tried crc mass air flow cleaner with no luck multiple times I can un plug sensor and car does not hesitate.

maybe that mud is not soluble with that solvent cleaner
I'd spray it with water (bottle ) with few drops of dish soap inside. (like when looking for vacuum leaks or finding natural gas leaks in a stove)
keep it inverted, intake side to sky.
spray 6 inches away , wait 5min repeat a few times, this will work, in most cases.. for mud..
the follow up with the crc cleaner, repeat a few times
that should get clean.
sounds like you need snorkel.
nice price, suzuki wants $1200 + tax + ship.

it looks destroyed,(the elements) looks like it was pelted with rocks.
that dirt will wreck a good engine fast.
water can hydralock a cylinder and snap crank or bend the rods..
you need to have a huge air cleaner, to stop that nasty stuff .
