740 code - Jerry - 09-22-2019 how can i check tcc relay before repacing parts on 1996 tracker 4 wheel drive, 1.6 , 3 speed automatic. know very little about this issue. any advice will be appreaciated. RE: 740 code - fixkick - 09-22-2019 (09-22-2019, 04:28 AM)Jerry Wrote: how can i check tcc relay before repacing parts on 1996 tracker 4 wheel drive, 1.6 , 3 speed automatic. know very little about this issue. any advice will be appreaciated. the ECU closed the relay above 45mph and then that 12vdc power leaves there and goes to the transmission TCC pin, the pin goes to the solenoid valve, it then opens and send hydraulic fluid to the TCC lock in the clutch. so the only tests that can be done easy is connect voltmeter or lamp to the TCC output pin via a wire run back to the drivers seat, then drive, if 12vdc happens now, then the relay is good if not , its bad. i have a page just for this. https://fixkick.com/tranny/automatic-slush/TCC/TCC-failure.html pin 4 on the relay is output fuse 16 is the fuse that must work first. the white wire goes hot, over 45mph if light foot on throttle. |
