Any ideas or suggestions?? the long comes in 2 sizes, one for A/C and one with out I guess you guys dont have autostores there? (they look that up in seconds) i guess you want part ID 12 here, right https://fixkick.com/engine/20Liter/html/image_18.html so why not always look on rockauto.com first (if buying IN USA, are you? IDK, the world is huge) rockauto.com shows the vast numbers of belts made. if you CLICK INFO it answers your question. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/suzuki,1998,sidekick,1.8l+l4,1317413,belt+drive,belt,8900 the ilder is there as are all belts i can only guess, that car is not missing AC and not missing power steering pump. i cant look under the hood to see what is there now and things missing, as is step 1. have you lost the old belt, I cant guess that either. if not lost you can measure it for Circumference to be sure its the long one or short. AC version long belt is 1667 mm outside CIRCUM. with out AC its 1563mm long. CIRCUm.(outside measured) 17mm wide 5 ribs. all that is clearly stated at ROCKauto.com all you have to do is look and once you see that, you see, many makes and all P/N for each make, all on one page. Any ideas or suggestions?? I found the substitutions to the Sport's OEM Accessory Drive; w/ Air Conditioning belts 5PK1545, 5PK1550, 5PK1635, 5PK1645, 5PK1647, 5PK1650. RE: Sidekick Sport 1.8l Belt tensioner makes noise - fixkick - 09-11-2019 is that question? the idler is not rare, at all rock has them as do most stores, again the huge problem is only , most stores fail to ask SPORT or NON SPORT car, fail to ask 1.6L or 1.8L, no all stores make that blunder just most. (USA) and there are no sports outside USA< unless shipped from N.America to outside USA. oK?> in fact Sidekick is USA (n.American marketing name) for Vitara. sE420 and SQ420 is the only near match but is not the same car. (non sedans, like Esteem j18) there are many parts that can make NOISE there, the fan clutch the tensenor idler the the fan pulley extension too. the water pump bearings. are you going to guess,? why not use a $5 mechanics stethoscope and find the one part that make noise, way to is drop all belts. and spin them and flex them all all directions, if you find play ,it is bad, if you feel it is gritty turned, its bad. and more Alternator noise. P/S pump noise or just bad belts, (if frayed sure, if loose they can squeal) |
