RE: condenser type? - Vitalie - 07-04-2015

Ok today I went and checked the vacuum again and it held 30 for 20 min. So I decided to charge it.
After 1 hour of vacuum and 2 cans of 12oz refrigerant. The pressures shows 64 low and 235 high. in the garage was 90 degrees. At the vents shows 70. Took it for a spin and the vents lowered to 60.

It just doesn't feel right. The air felt colder with the original parts. I was wondering if this REMAN compressor is not good.

What do you all think is going on?

Thanks

r134, actual
so lets look at the chart.
its in the book
the pressure spec, i think is at 2000 rpm
and is based on humidity and ambient air temps.
the expansion valve must be good and compressor running and front condensor fan running at full speed.
is clutch holding solid, not cycling?

i presented the free 1996 FSM
on 1B11 the chart shows me you overcharged the system.
and 134 hates overcharging, big time...

here i put it in the gallery,
the suzuki engineer used the unknown by us ," volume"of system to make this chart and do real testing.

i use the radio station humidity (if close by)

most home meters for humidly are just useless, junk.

as you can see the outlet temp was 60f. new car. at the stated conditioners.

use this
http://weather.gc.ca/forecast/city_e.html?qc-147&unit=i

it's 63% now in Montreal. (wild guess, example)

id use this site to see true humidity...

If that's the case I retested again with engine at 2000rpm and the humidity 75 and the temp. about 95. The pressures were 53 low 275 high at the vent about 62.

I think it is in the range of the chart.
Now lets pray it holds the refrigerant.

Thanks again for the help and God bless.

53 is just tad high,
48 is correct.

and 62 vent beats the spec.
congrats.
