I have an 89 sidekick convertible.
I bought this truck in pieces and built it from the ground up. The engine runs and starts fine but idles at 3000rpm for 30 to 45 seconds and then the idle surges from 2300ish to 2500ish rpm.
At 2500 Rpm the timing is at 18.
Compression shows 150 +/- 5 across. (new rings and cylinder was honed)
Vacuum lines are installed correctly.
MAP sensor was replaced (nothing changed)
Plugs are new AC Delco gapped at spec
Check engine light is not on
But in test mode (in fuse box) code blinks 2 then 2 pause then code 1 then 2 =12 (everything fine) and repeats code 12 but i don't see 22 again.
Code 22 is TPS voltage low (could this be my issue?)
