Rocker Arm Shaft O-ring
#1
Hi,

I have a 16v from a 95 Suzuki Sidekick. I tore the o-ring on the rocker arm shaft so am looking for a new one. Have searched online but can find no reference to one on the internet anywhere except for the factory service manual. Anyplace I can get one or do I need to just measure up the one I have and find similar?

Thanks, Jim

but i think you can measure the old one and fit up a new.
the online pages at suzuki , skips this part, and im sure they have it, it/s used on other cars of theirs.
rear rocker shaft seal. (just before it passes in to dizzy housing.

ill add it to my hard to find parts, page, seeing how online they skip this part , in he drawings.

Well I did order an o-ring from my local Suzuki dealer. Or whatever is left of it. More like a garage than a dealership. It cost 4 dollars. And it is one of only 16 left in the nation.

Got the part in and installed.

The part#: 09280-12009.

Desc.: O Ring D:1.9

In searching online with this part # I come up with tons of references to an oring for tons of different Suzuki motorcycles which can be ordered from lots of websites. I also come across the part number 09280-13007 which a few websites say was preceeded by the 09280-12009. A fiche for a 2015 suzuki lists the 09280-12009 part number with this description:

O RING (D:1.9,ID:12.6)

The 12.6 ID is pretty much what I get when I measured mine. The OD on mine was about 16.28mm.

Seems if it is on a 2015 bike there would be a ton out there.

thanks, my EPC is devoid of sizes, great research !!!!

1.9mm (cross section size =CS ) with added x2 to below is full OD size of ring.
12.6mm inside diameter,
that is all we need. to buy any o=ring, next is just material.

not really suzuki parts are only sold by suzuki and yes, any suzuki motorcycle shop has it or can get it, say in 3 days.

id go viton
to buy ring we need the catalog pages for all 1.9mm rings. then find the ID. thats all there is to it. well be in the metric section sure.
my usaorings.com
has horrid selection, of 1.9mm rings. like 10 or less.
1.0mm 1.5. and 2.0 are common,
how ever this might work, it's tight, stretch it on, grease with silicon grease well and may fit. (my best attempt)

(19282) 12.5 MM X 2 MM BN70 METRIC (standard ind. sized)

or viton
16520) 12.5 MM X 2 MM V75 METRIC
