$80 for Koyo, and are prime grade.
$15 must be from china,

Yep.. made in China.. For $15 I'll give it a shot. I travel about 100 miles a day commute and errands so we'll see how long they last.
I'll be taking them to the machine shop to get them pressed. I'm getting 'sheepish" in my old age. I tried 'em on my 12ton press and I
didn't like the way they were fighting me so I gave up. Let someone more experienced than me tackle this.
home of the $2 bearing below, (must be made by robots and humans sent home?)

ONe way DIY:
heat the hub in the oven say 250F? use gloves leather.
then press out cups easy. (seen presses blow seals at 10tons even one 20 ton did on this hub) heat expands the hub.
on the reverse ACT, heat hub again , and put bearing box and all in a freezer bag, and in the 10f freezer and cool it. 1hr? then heat hub.
then use the press, even 5ton can work. (in home setting)
DIY ways. (it's not Redneck ways, it's just pure Physics at work here, thermal dynamics)
hope Fed mogul + National bearing , did there job right. off shore.
good luck with those bearings, and yes, the shop can do it better, using the right forcing tools to not damage the new bearing.
I've used heat/cold many times in the past with great success. I sit behind a desk all day and work on stuff for fun. This time I'll just drop 'em off and pick 'em up done.
