Engine coolant flow - Dewmore - 01-18-2020

this  Have removed water pump and have found the coolant passages on right side plugged with crud and other sediment.  The small passages upper and lower. Can anyone furnish the information where this flow would have  traveled.  This is a 98 tracker 1.6 16 v. Have just purchased knowing it had a coolant problem.  No circulation, first thought thermostat,  crud and rust can be seen in picture from storage
