1.6 16 valve swap into 1991 2 dr manual - 21wz - 03-14-2018
I'm new to forums and this is by far the most informative Suzuki forum yet, but am unable to answer the following query. I have 1991 Sidekick 1.6 8 valve convert manual and have located a 1994 Sidekick 4 dr auto with 1.6 16 valve donor vehicle. Will the wiring harness in the 91 support the ECU from the 94 auto? Will I need a manual trans ECU from a 1.6 16 valve? If so what p/n? Thanks in advance and for such an informative site.

Actually the 91 is a Geo Tracker if that matters.

no it will not.
the harness must match. the 16v has , 4 injector, and mAF sensors and IAT sensor moved. and more. all new grounds, world of differences on the 2 engines. and under dash.
no the auto ecu, will work in mt car.
type ecu in my main fixkick.com site search , then ecu pdf. for all p/n for them and which one matches.
only a/t drivers need worry, ECU, until 1997.
