Heater fan control switch problem
#1
The heater fan control switch stopped allowing high speed position to work. It runs on the low speed position but not on any of the other speeds. Took the switch apart and noticed burnt contact on the inside of switch that switches between med, hi, and very hi speed contacts. Also noticed spade connectors for switch and connector must have gotten overheated and have damaged the connector and switch. Cleaned up and reinstalled but since this is the second time I've done this am wondering if this is going to continue until switch and connector are completely destroyed or if there is a workaround. 25 Amp fuse doesn't blow. Looks like the switch can't handle the full hi speed current. Did later models use a relay?
