Ahh ok thanks, just checking with you, cause I thought that the same way engines from 96-98 fit my car, trannys would be the same deal. The photo is for the actual item(but that can be asked for if not). So rebuild or find a newer 95 tranny? Would that year fit? I'm not saying I'm going this way. But as I saw in that video you posted of the tear down, maybe my best option is buy a rebuilt one?

I'll let you know the stall test results. BTW did you get to see my post about asking which brand of seal conditioner is best and if doing the DIY tranny flush could be done regardless of the problem? I could just buy the Overhaul kit and replace everything since I know It has not been serviced since coming out of the dealer (Previuos owner was my grandpa, he bought it new) but when he passed away my father inherited her (dad not being so sharp in sched maintenance) and when he passed away that is when i got her.

Let me know.

only the A40 series transmission, a44de, modified with suzuki BELL housing and suzuki transfer case end housing (if opted) works.
The Aisin A40 . its used on many cars. but with different adapters. the core tranny is common.

the suzuki uses the 03-72LE (E is electrical shifted) side plate has that number there.
it has a drain plug, making home drains, easy.
drain it, drop pan, put in new filter. ,
measure what came out. and put back same amount
if it runs cold now, then attempt to get the oil cleaner buy repeat drains, or ask the man in the shop to do a full flush only,. bam, all clean now.
see line 12, IN FACTS.

post 55 and still no new filter.

again, why think a pump can suck ATF past a ton of sludge, 20 years worth, i bet.
why???
why move the mind past the filter. no trans runs with a packed filter. ever. its not going to happen like the bypass valve on cars engine block filter,
your filter there is a full flow filter

post 55 , still no new filter.

I know donor or salvage is another option but how opens great possibilities for hidden fails/abused tranny? What to change, what to inspect? I know it could be fun. And I can manage the time, I guess. I just came from an engine rebuild that took me 7 months. No help just me(Well a lot of usefull info like you do, helped me in the process). Old civic 87 with lots of problems. It started with a carb rebuild (took it to a shop) and then the engine (by me). See, the kick is my wifes car and is the only A/T equipped car in my house, the others are stick shift and wife does know stick shift, see my problem? Plus only one salary right now.

Is kind of an uphill situation. I'll study my options but first lets see the stall test results.

Thanks for your time.

post 57 and still no new filter.

used transmissions are all bad.
why would you think that the bone yards are full of used good transmissions after 20 years. why?
it's a dream.

no auto transmission runs for ever, ever just count the parts in side and gander at all those seals that can get hard crack and leak????
most die way before the engine. A/t trans.

Yes it looks like tedious work, fun, but lengthy. Like I told you maybe I'm at the edge of a simple fix, cause like I told you before, after that first morning run she shifts fine and at the intervals. What we do is warm her up in P for 5 min or so and then move to D and drive away. Can I go ahead and change filter anyways apart from stall test results and do the DIY tranny flush?

Regards!!!
