Silicone vacuum hose....
#1
fixkick,

What are your thoughts on replacing vacuum hoses with this new silicone hose popping up on the market? With all the vacuum leaks that form over time, it seems like this stuff would be a good choice to keep everything working right.

1. What are your thoughts on this?

2. If you are buying a bunch of vacuum hose for your tracker, what size should you buy? Are there multiple sizes on the car or only one size used?

thanks,
John

only one, getting the correct ID size so they dont fall off
but any EPDM hose works great the stock hoses, turn to mush , after 20 years.
no engine stated, but all have many hose.
EVAP
EGR
dashpot (8v)
PCV
you must match all nipple sizes.
and on 16v, way more complex. ISC hoses and all those main pipe ,branch hoses are all under vacuum. or are METERED AIR, and very critical
the 8v only races with leaks, at full power. so is not like any 16v made. the 16v goes lean.

ok you have a G16B tracker.
some of the hoses are preformed , see my photo
Both PCV air hoses, fresh and dirty air.
the ISC hose. and its filter and its front hose.
