1992 sidekick no spark
#1
My friends 92 8v has no spark, it has power to coil, took distributor cap off and when we touch controller ignitor a/c condensor fan comes on, you can wiggle dist. Internals and it comes on and off.

the car is wired up wrong,?
the condenser fan has no connection to spark at all.
unless the fuses boxes are rotted out (rusted) the
this ECU creates all spark, and does so firing the COILS ignitor module on the fire wall.
the CMP dead kills spark generation all. CMP is first, its the drummer boy for spark.

spark is first tested not at the spark plugs but the COIL HV tower thermal (tall) using a spark pug wire and plug in end gapped .028" and the plug shell grounded to engine block.

if that fails. we do the diagnostic jumper next
insert jumper wire (paper clip unbent) to DLC jack.
key on see 12 code flash (means ok)

then crank engine for 5 full seconds, release key, and not off, see flashing. 41 or 42? 41 means igniter is dead (or related ask) 42 means CMP dead.

the condenser fan can only turn on if:
Key on,
AC on, and blower at same time. Blue wire goes hot, at AMP.
if the AMP logic sees above BLUE line active the AMP turns on the fan, up front, there is no other way.
unless the fan relay is stuck on. bad. (remove it.? replace it?)
is your cars wiring is hacked, i always look for signs of hacking first. (oops, hacked ,anything possible now)
26 years of potential hackers possible .sorry !

AC yours/!

other than HV, terminal (coil spark)
The distributor base must be grounded, see wire there cut or missing.
the distributor had just 3 terminals on the side.
12vdc in pin. blue-blk.
ground pin black
and cmp out. white, see below. the 3 wires must have no damage or spark ends NOW.
your EFI: is here:

if you push the CMP sensor(there is no ignitors in any 92 car inside the distributor, only 89/90 years ,its on the fire wall on all cars 91up to 95)
The CMP is the only part inside the DIZZY base (we call that the cam sensor or CAS too, cam angle sensor , by modern terms)
Im not arguing name only where finger presses are.
The only thing that pops to mind here, is the when you press a finger there the bad ground in the distributor , makes connection causing missing grounds on other key modules in the car to go GOOD for ground.
the AC has 3 fuses 2 AC and 1 blower, and have zero to do with Dizzy. (EFI runs off ig-coil fuse and FI only) on purpose.
that is why I question grounds bad. based on that fact of power distribution.
your post is fun , never seen any DIZZY trip off AC< not ever but is FUN topic. (due to that)
no lie the grounds on these cars are very old.
body grounds and wired black grounds very odd system and some real bad.

see g105 and work down to g100 here

also if the spark suppressor module (size of small lady wrest watch case) falls off the harness , all spark end. and code 41 and tachometer goes dead.
