Clutch page update?
Glad to have the page

http://www.fixkick.com/tranny/clutch/clu...html#sport

And glad that it also covers the 1.8 Sport

But I am having a hard time finding an exploding diagram for the Clutch Pedal assembly for the 1.8. The 'Clutch Lever' under the dash that attaches to the pushrod into the slave cylinder is a part that is prone to bending.

I found it as part number 49820-77E71 and ordered a spare but I sandwiched metal on both sides of my original with good weld and it should be fine for a while but I can't find the part number for the bronze bushing that goes between the lever and the pushrod that is to take up the 'wear' between the two.

Looks like I will have to get a friend to turn one down for me on his lathe . If I have to do this I am going to try and get him to do it with delrin and not bronze to get the self lubricating properties of the delrin.

Anybody have a diagram of the 1.8 Sport pedal assembly with part numbers? suzukicarparts.com used to have it but it's gone now.

This is PERFECT.

What I actually need is #25 the pedal hole bushing.

25 09307-08002 bush, clutch pedal hole

But since I couldn't see a diagram now I know what I need.

My Sport never had one when I bought it, Just a worn out bent lever which I made much stronger by sandwiching it between metal so maybe this particular bushing may not fit but I'll order one and see. I also have a new lever if I need to and have a friend with a lathe who likes to make stuff too.

Thanks again for this!!!

used that number 25, coded here.

09307-08002

$3.38 is better than long labor on any lathe.

Yes, better than the labor of making one but if a Friend buys a tool and offers because he wants to play, who am I to judge...

Haha. I too have a couple of such friends who just need a chance to experiment and showcase their talents. And, man, I love them.

RE: Clutch page update?
one more hint, the 1.6L cars now have far better drawings at GM, (tracker)_
Susuki drawings are horrible (ONLINE) missing or worse. They have them but are too lazy to put them up on there parts buy pages.
the SUZUKI company once sold the parts books in hard copy, for many years we saw them used on ebay, or in your case 1.8L supplements (poor)
I have them.
GM has made huge changes here,, and good to see..... but not for this car, GM didnt do the 1.8L

the 1.8L engine is only a destroked, 2.0L J18 is J20, many of the parts swap directly (no not EFI parts engine parts)
a thing to know before buying any 1.8L suzuki ,, and the MAF sensor on it wow hidden in the TB and super hard to find , not $1000
Good luck with your SPORT !
