g16a no injector signal, error code 14

http://www.fixkick.com/my96-16v/my-motor-serial1w.jpg

T= tango= 96 (my engine decoder pages shows this too)
see this, this is my 96 engine stamp, left side, (pump water forward you facing pump)
this engine mount has the stamp at the bell housing mating surface.

the year engine really helps. hope yours has one.

i have 2 weeks without car so now i can't check the serial number.
Engine is spi, but previous owner installed flange to mpi intake and run on custom ecu.
I don't want go to spi because: i don't have spi intake, and second, the car have high preasure fuel pump, working with mpi so i don't know that it will be work with spi.
I think that change spi to mpi was declared lean mixture on turbo.
Only in 3 weeks I will see the car and check the sensors, if I still do not have an injection signal from ecu I will use the ignition signal and connect to the piggyback, he can control the injection in full group, just for test.

This SPI (TBI) ecu can NOT run 4 injectors.only 1 injector. (there is only 1 injector driver transistor in the SPI ECU) ok?
, you have the wrong ECU. and wrong Throttle body and wrong intake manifold.

you need the 4 injector ECU. that does not exist in 1992.... Ive no idea at all what intake that car has now but is not 1992, for sure, (have the parts book I do on it)
a rising rate, fuel pump , sure know that well. and why. (5PSI boost?)

you are trying to get 4 MPI injectors to fire from 1 injector ECU, why attempt that?
sorry for your , grief and problems whit this car.

Suzuki in 1992 have a g13b engine from suzuki swift gti, cultus gti, where was a 4 low impedance injectors in full group with one injector driver (http://www.rhinopower.org/ECUs/64E10/64E10.html)
I have 4 high impedance injectors with 4 ohms in line, spi injector is 1,2 ohm,so theoretically it should work in 4 injector full group, but I do not know the opening and closing times of mpi injections
So, maybe i'm wrong.
I will try to find everything from spi and then try to fire it up.

theories: (IDK your injectors at all) nor that you have 1.3 parts married to 1.6 engine,
so you are trying to get a SPI single transistor to drive 4 injectors. (ok news to me that)
well you'd have to first make the 4 injectors happy, they need a pulse that is in spec, on each injector, (the data sheet on injectors cover that)
then you must drive all 4 in parallel and not overload the SPI transistor in side the ECU.
the SPI ecu run 1 injector at 1.2 OHMS via a series resistor. that tells you the this ECU cant drive the stock 1.2ohms directly. so the resistor was used.
our G16-TBI has no such resistor.

now more theory, did you know the injectors are PWM modulated. and why>
why, so the injector is not overheated.
and is tuned to the injector Pintle valve mass, exactly, if you use the wrong injector this PWM modulation is no good, now.
you need to get the pulse voltages right and the PWM modulation right. (2 things, right, and the 3rd is the fuel mix pulse right)

here it is PWM , on 1.6L TBI sidekick/tracker/vitara's off my scopes. (hand drawn as scope photos are super hard to capture live)

and the flow rates are here, (after cleaned)TBI sidekick.

how that helps you . cheers

let me elaborate that
there are 2 PWM signals there,
1: is cooling PWM (IS TUNED TO THE mechanical mass of the injectors , so that the coils do not overheat, is tricky way, this cools the coils but does NOT EFFECT #2)
2: is fuel mix PWM (TBI is MAP baro sensor tuned, on hot engine + O2 sensor (lambda )fine tuned)

and then voltages.
all 3 need to be correct.

ok, this time without mpi, I will look for parts for tbi. I forgot to add that there is no narrow lambda connected to ECU. It is strange because it has 4 wires, 2 are heating and 2 will be signal and lambda ground, normally it was 1 wired only signal?
I still have a board discovery f4 for frankenso, maybe I can run mpi on it.

the history of 02, old to now.
1 wire, they found that lacking heater, the 02 is way to slow to wake up + smog. 1989 classic.
2 wire they added a ground real so the rusty exhaust manifold , really stinks for ground to the o2 cell -
3 wire, added heater but with a bad ground (exh man. grounds)
4 wire, added yet one more ground so both heater and cell have valid grounds, 1995 and newer,
This can be seen in the free bosch catalog for all Suzuki, this evolution on O2
here is the 4 wire car 02,1996
http://www.fixkick.com/sensors/O2%20sensor/02-1996.jpg

here is 3wire
http://www.fixkick.com/sensors/O2%20sens...re-16v.jpg

the old one wire

so that means your engine is not 1992 (or the exh manifold is not) and is vary newer.
why not MegaSquirt it, or find right ECU.

good luck using the wrong, ECU, it will not be easy.

and there are over 50 market classed suzuki sold world wide, even in 1 year.
50 smog laws.
all this is dictated by the countries laws on smog, 100s of ECU, for each. 1 each for smog zone (market) 1 for M/T or A/T or 4wd, and more. vast ECU exist world wide
for one reason the software (firmware ) is in ROM not FLASH memory as all are now.
The modern ECU has 12 injectors, in the ecu, (drivers) that can be enabled in firmware, at any time, reducing the amount of ECU for spares, to 1 ECU.
Your ECU fits 1 engine, and can not be reprogrammed,
the mass of the SPI injector is not near the same as any MPI injector. it behaves totally differently, (not just flow, rates)
Do you know what dead time is?
its the time in mS (milliseconds) before he injector coil can move the pintle valve open, the do not work the same in this 1 regard. (same with release time)
not only that but your car ran a 10v injector SPI and MPI runs 12v. (the resistor gives this fact away)

ok, update.
Piggy plugged in, squirt taken from ignition, ve table set to 30 on 800 to 900 first, then to 2000 rpm, map sensor mpxXXXX.
It runs but...., squirt indicates 30ms, small black smoke from exhaust, but not a oil burn smell.
Narrowband lambda not connected, tomorrow i will connect it and tune , it's not too lean, for sure Wink
