Crank Angle Position sensor?
#3
(02-22-2018, 05:43 AM)fixkick Wrote: so cranks ok
and no spark.
and 42. means CMP dead
if the cam belt snaps as all do after 100km distance, the Cam halts,. the CMP halts and the rotor in the distributor does not spin.
it has no crank sensor at all, sorry. first one is 1996 in USA only then vastly later ins europe. forget crank sensors.

there is no vacuum advance, the ECU does advance all by itself, 100% all done in ECU, even RPM advance is there. (in tables inside ECU)
this car is old,

first is look at rotor , cap off distributor , crank, does it spin, this is first. when all spark dies, and is super simple test.
as is, IG-coil file and FI fuse not blown,

Hi and thank you for quick respons!
Cam belt is a year old and in perfekt shape, the rotor spins, bought a new distributor since I read that the sensor is located inside it, still nothing. Still code 42. No fuses blown.
