Any ideas?

wow what a wild sound. id have found a silver stake and had it as vampire ! it sounds Haunted.
lol.

ok ever use a $5 stethoscope sold in autostores. to find location or a screwdriver handle to ear, and bland on the cover.
it be super easy to hear the belt hit that cover if in fact it is..

the TBelts all fail just aver 60k miles,
if belt drifts on the pulley cogs, with a new belt i have that covered here.

all tbelts ignored do this, see the cover here.

http://www.fixkick.com/t-belt/drift.html

way past service that.

it can be anything there really
if it make noise cold started, does it?
then drop the fan belts for 2min max run.. if noise is located in the T belt cover, then it is covered in link above

water pump can make nose
ALT
PS.
AC.
bad fan belt.
bad fan clutch
dropping the belt fan , ends all those in this list. cept, TBELT.

It ended up being the timing belt cover.

I had replaced the timing belt a week or two ago and I'd heard it rubbing very slightly but it had gone away, then returned MUCH louder.. like in the video.

I pulled the belt, re-set the tension and re-installed it and I haven't heard any more noise. Is it possible the belt was too tight/too loose causing this issue?

gates belt , dayco, or "noname belts from china/ebay" belts, ?

that spring seen there is used only for the 2 turn tensioning steps. that is all there is to the tension, its very light tension, if done by the book
it works.
my pages shows all ways that it can fail.
is the crank pulley, 17mm bolt, set to 94 foot pounds per factory TSB shown there on the tbelt page.
lots of ways have the belt fail., large list there,
here ill make a shorter list here,

belt installed wrong. (tension steps done all wrong)
the 2 cogs are not parallel.
the bottom cog loose, due to not setting 17mm hex bolt to new factor spec torque.
head put back on ,leaving out the 2 Ferrel alignment pins, now head is canted.
while putting on new belt, kids playing turned bet belt inside out, breaking strands inside belt, as stated in the GATES belt instruction pages, "dont do this"
China crap belts. sure.
the guide roller is bad. or installed with the index, pin set wrong, seen on my page. and the roller is now canted. see Warning 13 in page belows. link.
last is, bad cogs, (happens with sand gets inside cover, due to driving with the silts cut in cover, seen on my belt page or putting the cover on
and leaving out the cover gasket, and now sand gets insides and eats the cogs to death,, (very hard to diagnose this failure, with eyes only)

16v is dont this waY
That page shows 3 ways.
it shows the paper that comes in box with belt.
then shows the suzuki pages
then i show all ways to do it and mess up vast ways, the long page, it is. and did so to show, how easy it is to make errors here.
lots of ways there are.

one guy here even messed up one more way (in a country with zero parts and dictator running it)
he milled the head so deep that the belt will not fit, right. cause timing markers to not ever be correct. (an amazing fact, but true) (have photos)
