help! stripped threads where tensioner pulley bolts into. 1996 geo tracker. tightens but not enough. any suggestions?

a Helicoil™ fix is way more costly than a new water pump.

in fact most shops do the pump at belt time
they are near same life spans.... is why. (under the logic , why do the job twice?)
