Bottom End swap
#1
Hey guys I posted on here before about my 95 suzuki 4door sidekick and had some Fuel problems. After a long process of trying to figure it out I found the problem and got it running right. Dont celebrate just yet because on my test drive Im assuming it had a bearing spun or something because it threw the number 2 rod out of the oil pan. I have a tracker parts car sitting there but it is a non fuel injected motor and I was wondering if the bottom end of it would match up to the top end of my suzuki? I figured since they were both 1.6L motors there wouldnt be much issues but I figured id ask here and see. Thanks

The vin on my geo tracker is 2cnbj18u5r6910102
I couldnt find the year but I believe its a 92 or 93

NON EFI IS g13 ENGINE.
NOT SAME ENGINE.
USA.

your vin engine codes is U. = U = 8valves
so you need a 8valve block
you not mix , 8v and 16v blocks.
the raw block is same but not PISTONS.

the left rear flange bell has the serial on all G16
in usa only that serial shows year, using vin code for year standargs
like this,1995
G16S12356
S as on SAM = 1995
92 is N
per here
http://www.fixkick.com/specs/VIN-motor-decoder.html

car vin (gm only)
U engine is TBI
6 engine is MPI vin engine codes, per same page.

vin 8th is engine code.
on suzuki, G16 the code is useless. (until J18 up ,hits) only GM get this correct.
