94 tracker died while driving down the freeway
#4
thanks.
and the injector bundle too... EFI wires must not have damage.
many of those harness had nice clamps and sleeves
then after engine work, those get damaged
to avoid that is to retract them fully, before engine pulls or manifold pullls
as seen here,
i cleaned it all up, then retaped all damaged harnesses, and then made sure when done there were no points to chafe.
using clamps and tie wraps and even heat shrink to protect ends.
some of these have 25 years running now.
and crazy high mileage, even 300k miles. or more.
also getting connectors is hard, (not sold) so get them off wrecked car and remove the whole harness is what I did for spares

good luck and cheers.

the op lost spark or fueling
the eCu is progammed (hard logic)
to cut fuel for 4 reasons. 3 spark and 1 seeing TPS STUCK WIDE OPEN THROTTLE. TPS ground wire cut, does just tha,.
but the ECU tells you this.. every time.
just ask it.
code 41, 42, or tps error.or dead tachometer line all do this.
best, was to check for spark first
cant burn fuel ,no spark.

the temp gauge is not connected to the ECU
but the ect IS ,
and if cut.
the ECU tells you it is.
and then goes rich as h3LL
