i am working on my neighbors sidekick it is a 4 door 16valve engine it has sat for awhile(4 yrs). i got it running but not very well. it has no power going uphill,plenty on the flats. did a compression test and it had 120 on no.1,90 on no.2 100 on no.e and 120 on no.4 these were all dry tests on a cold engine with the throttle wide open and all the plugs out. the plugs were black so i will probably change them payday. i cleaned out the catylaytic converter with a 1/2 inch pipe and the muffler is fairly new along with a fuel filter and cap and rotor and wires. once i get it running good i will worry about thedash lights and dome lights and the radio. the timming belt was changed about a month before it died. it is difficult to get parts and info on these vehicles the cover for my fuse box inside is missing and i haven't found any of these car in the wrecking yards around here.
