Can't find the PCV valve - Sylvanite - 07-24-2014

I'm looking for the PCV valve so I can replace it (I assume PO did not do 50k replacement). There are several distinct PCV valves for sale on rockauto, and I think I know which one I need, but I wanted to pull the old valve first to see. The problem is that I can't find the PCV at all. I looked at the FSM and pulled the cam vent tube (leaking oil incidentally), realized my mistake, but could not find the correct one.

the 8v the PCV screws in the intake man..so has this large pipe thread, NPT.
the 16v engine, is 100% hose fittings. and the one end going in to the top center plenum in a grommet.

here is 16v (my coin toss)

see that nylon deal bob there. bingo.

Thanks, I found it. In retrospect, I could have followed the huge trail of oil to the valve...

Also, watch out on rockauto.com, most aren't labeled as to 8/16v, and some are labeled wrong 16v for 8v and as 2 door or 4 door.
If I hadn't looked, I would have ordered the wrong one.

Fixkick,

What paint did you use on that engine in the photo? Sure looks good!

none, that is shinny aluminum....
i built it up from naked , every inch.
thanks!

that is correct they all mix 8v./16
that is because Suzuki used same vin engine code for both. damn shame that.

GM used U/6 vin codes, and cant use that on Suzuki's they go , huh?
